Ultrafuse® TPU 85A
First Flexible Filament Based on Elastollan®
Ultrafuse® TPU 85A is a high-performance filament specifically engineered for FFF 3D printing. It is manufactured using BASF’s Elastollan® thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a material renowned for its exceptional reliability, consistent quality, and cost-effective performance. By combining the proven properties of Elastollan® with optimized printability, Ultrafuse® TPU 85A delivers dependable results for a wide range of flexible printing applications.
Ultrafuse® TPU 85A is designed for applications that require a precise balance of flexibility and durability. With its Shore 85A hardness, it is well suited for components where controlled elasticity and reliable mechanical performance are essential.
It will perform as expected, every time.
Available in a natural white and black color, Ultrafuse® TPU 85A offers excellent flexibility at low temperatures, outstanding wear resistance, and effective vibration damping. Chemical resistance and solvent compatibility information can be provided for application-specific requirements and generally align with the published properties of polyether-based TPU materials. Please note that Ultrafuse® TPU 85A is not FDA compliant and is therefore not intended for food-contact or medical applications requiring FDA approval.
